Hello! I'm really glad you're here. This section will tell you a little about what lead me here and how I use what I've learned to inform not only my personal practice but how I support others to make empowered choices for their wellbeing too.

My journey has taken me so many places, including quite a few I would have rather not visited. However, if it hadn't been for these challenges, I wouldn't be who I am or where I am today. The health and healing experiences I've gone through have taught me so much about myself and what I want for my life and that is a truly amazing thing (in my humble opinion).

The part that I have loved the most is discovering new things that I can experiment with, practice and use to support and enhance my wellbeing on a daily basis. My personal favourites are Yoga, journalling, kinesiology, meditation, time with family, laughing with friends, ocean swims, cuddling my lab and space and silence for reflection. Oh, and reading. ALOT. I love to read and learn. 

My aim is to assist you in moving thorugh your own health and healing challenges; and to discover and build a unique and supportive toolkit of your very own - filled with practices, tools and resources that not only enhance your wellbeing but also bring joy and alignment into your life. A safety net of sorts that you can turn to any time you need to bring yourself nourishment and a sense of ease.

 

My hope is to inspire you to embrace and value your health, healing and wellbeing journey because I guarantee you there is treasure to be found within - when you are willing to meet yourself where you are and make the changes you need and want to, from a place of compassion, courage and empowerment.

A few chapters from my journey...

2006 🎒
Quit my job, went backpacking for 3 months, fell in love (with travel and my future husband), and enrolled in Naturopathy.

2008 🧘‍♀️

I started practicing Yoga. I took local classes and practiced alot at home (after apps were invented) 😂

2013 🌿

I began working in my dream job as a Naturopath seeing clients 1:1, trying to fall pregnant and failing at it. I started Crossfit which changed my life. I explored my health through kinesiology, acupuncture and energy medicine. It was about this time that journalling and meditation became foundational practices for me. 

2014–2015 💔
Fell pregnant finally! Felt invincible... Then everything changed. A traumatic birth and severe PNDA unravelled life as I knew it. I couldn't sleep, eat or leave the house without drowning in panic, anxiety and tears. I quit crossfit and watched the life I had disappear. As my external world collapsed around me, I turned inwards to face my shadows and find my light again. Yoga became the cornerstone of my pathway from trauma to healing. It was the hardest thing I've ever gone through; however also the thing I'm most proud of getting through. 

2016–2018

By now I had physically recovered but was still moving through my healing process - spiritually and emotionally. I worked on strengthening my boundaries and core values and used these as guides to move forward. I went back to work and enrolled in a 350hr Yoga teacher training. I gave birth to my second daughter. I completed my Level 1 Restorative Yoga training and experienced unemployment while raising two young children (my eldest being diagnosed with absence myoclonic epilepsy), marriage and running a household (with lots of moments of self-doubt, guilt and feeling like a failure). I continued committing to my path, my heart and my practices

2019–2021 🔮

Following my intuition (after a long struggle with not wanting to) I decided to leave traditional Naturopathic practice. I spent this time deeply committed to learning my Soul lessons and connecting with my intuition through Yoga and meditation, journalling and reading, utilising my core team of healthcare practitioners as needed alongside a healthy does of self reflection. While my health at this stage fluctuated

( mostly due to pandemic induced stress), I knew I had the tools to move through whatever came my way with grace, discernment and self-compassion.

2021–2024 🌕
I lost my job and left the health industry, following what was put in front of me by the universe. This new path was one that was completely foreign and felt so "off path" to my ego, but deep down I knew I had to trust where I was being lead (into the unknown). While I didn't know the reasons why (and at times this caused a lot of frustration and tears), I used it as an opportunity to reflect and trust and continue moving forward, despite not knowing where I was headed. I completed Reiki Level 1 & 2 and continued on my way

 

2025 -🎉

Sally Broadhurst - Empowered Wellbeing was born. To be continued...
